What to Watch For

Ancelotti calls for Bayern to be more direct. In a news conference this past week, Carlo Ancelotti finally addressed Bayern Munich’s current struggles and called for the team to play much more direct than they have in recent games. With a big Champions League match right around the corner, this could be an important match for the squad to gain some momentum by ruthlessly attacking a weak Ingolstadt side, whom they beat 3-1 earlier in the season.

No Squad Rotation. It will be interesting to see who Coach Ancelotti chooses to start for this match. It would be easy to think he would rest some key players with the Arsenal match in mind. However, he stated this week that he has no plans to alter his lineup because of Arsenal. If this proves true that would be a disappointment as this match could prove beneficial for many of the young guys. However, resting merely 4 points ahead of Leipzig is by no means comfortable, so his decision is justified.
